Things 80’s cartoons taught us all - I sooo remember watching all of these cartoons. I think they need to be brought back on something like Adult Swim - I would totally tune in to watch Jem on late night TV!

Here’s another piece to the payperpost puzzle concerning the “payperpostbignews” - I can’t wait to find out what it is…although I think I already have an inkling :-) Exciting stuff on the internet this weekend!

I’m feeling a bit better after a shower and cleaning myself up. I never got the avacados for my 7-layer dip for this party today, so just call me a big slacker when I show up with bread and dip. Tonight’s outing to Howl-O-Scream should be fun…if it’s not too damn crowded or hot!!

So PayPerPost has a big announcement coming this week…and of course, they’re huge teases, so they’re giving us pieces of the “payperpostbignews” one piece at a time.

Patience is not my strong suit! You can get paid for blogging like I do - use my email address over in the sidebar for a referral!

I woke up in a good mood, but now I’m in a bad mood, and I don’t feel like keeping any of the plans we had today. Man, I hate fighting with the man. I need to get my butt into the shower and run out to pick up my niece, and then at 4pm I have to drag all the children to church because we won’t make it tomorrow. Somewhere in there, I need to clean my house, which is quickly reaching pig-sty proportions.

Does anyone else watch Intervention on A&E? Man, what a heartbreaking show that is. Jim refuses to watch it because he says it’s depressing, but it’s interesting to me. One of my good friends when growing up has a major drug problem now, and he’s been in and out of jail and is currently back out, and has been to drug rehab a few times and nothing works for him. We’re the same age and spent a lot of time together as kids, and it’s hard to see someone that you grew up with have so many troubles as an adult. Anyway, I love it when the people on Intervention find aalcohol or drug rehab that actually WORKS for them, and they can turn things around - I guess deep down, I always want a happy ending. It seems like the places where addicts get individual attention, like Passages, have the highest success rate. I don’t know what kind of rehab my friend has been too, but I hope, now that he’s out of jail again, he can turn things around.

We’re off to hockey, and then softball, and then dinner. (If I can get out of cooking, it’s worth the drive!) This is my last weekend of rest before the 3Day walk, and judging from the plans we have, it’s not going to be too restful. We’ve got plans to go to Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens tomorrow and I’m having a jewelry party here on Sunday…and somewhere in there I’ve got to go to the store for last minute 3Day items, including tarps in case we get rain. Fun!

I recently heard a theory that your pillow is like an 8 hour facial (for some of us, a 12 hour facial) and you should pamper yourself with at least 400 thread count sheets - anything less is like sandpaper on your face. In addition, you should be cleaning your pillowcase with a detergent that will get rid of dust mites and other bacteria on your pillow. Thinking about it…it makes sense…there’s no reason to rub your face raw on a lower thread count at night. All the more reason for me to buy those expensive sheets for my bed! You can read more about the thread count theory and other tips when you click here for the article from ABC.com.

People who can’t stop beating a dead horse. I know I’m guilty of it at times too, but sheesh, enough is enough already! While I’m on the subject of pet peeves, did you know that the term originated from the word “peeve”, which means something irritating or annoying. The word peeve came from the term “peevish”, meaning ornery, or yes, even ill-tempered. The phrase “pet peeve” first appeared in print in 1919. It’s amazing what you can learn on Wikipedia!

Yesterday I came home sick from work. The day before I got the sniffles and thought I was having an allergy attack, but when I didn’t go away, I knew I was sick. I think I’m feeling better today, so I’m going to clean up this wreck of a house in preparation for a get together we’re having on Sunday. I’ll probably even go so far as to break out the vacuum cleaner and give the floors a once-over. I really do love my fancy schmancy bagless Dyson but it sure is a pain trucking it up the stairs. I really need to get a second, smaller vacuum just for the hardwood downstairs, and discount vacuum cleaners seem like the place to check out first. I wonder how much you pay for shipping when you buy a vacuum cleaner online?
