One of the things we did when we built our house was to upgrade from the cheesy builder standard “brass n’ glass” lights to something with a little more flair. We did recessed can lighting in all of the rooms too - and what a difference it all makes. Changing lighting out isn’t that expensive, but the right light fixtures really do affect the look of your whole house. I’m glad we spent a little bit of extra moolah on it to get the look we wanted.
