I removed BaStats. People were seeing an error (one that I couldn’t see though) and I didn’t know how to fix it. I reinstalled ShortStat thinking it would work now - no deal. I can’t figure out why it decided to stop working on August 27, but it’s obviously related to the WordPress upgrade I did, because it stopped working on the day of the upgrade. I guess it’s a WP 2.04 issue, because on my 3DayMom.com site, I’m using WP 2.0 and ShortStat is just fine there. So do I want to write the developer an email? I do, but if he’s going to respond back in developer-speak, I’m not going to get it. Sigh.

You heard it here first. I was the first person to make it to $1000 with Payperpost.com. It took only 137 posts, so I averaged $7.30 per post. Wow.

Our new phones just arrived via FedEx - since we can’t get a decent T-Mobile signal up here in the boonies we’re getting out of our contract. My friend has Cingular and can get a signal in our house, so that’s who we went with. I found a great deal through MyPoints.com to get 2 Motorola Razr V3 phones - for free!! I’m charging them up right now. Mine is pink, and Jim got blue - aren’t we precious?

I have friends who are still paying on their student loans. After 10 years, they are still paying on them. Eeek! I don’t know why more people don’t check into student loan consolidation with StudentLoanConsolidator.com - they can cut their monthly payment in half usually, just by consolidating a lot of payments into one payment.  When you do that, you usually pay a much lower interest rate on your ONE payment, then you were making on all of the multiple payments. Not to mention the hassle of paying several bills throughout the month…when you can just pay one and be done with it. And - consolidation loan interest is federal income tax deductible!
Maybe you think the process of consolidating is too time consuming and a big hassle? It’s not…you just apply (and you can do that online!) and once your application is received, it’s checked for compliance with the Higher Education Act.  They’ll request a payoff amount from your loans to verify exactly what you owe.  Continue making payments on your existing loans!  Once they know how much you owe, a new new federal consolidation loan is opened in your name. At that time, they pay off your existing loans, in full.  Your credit rating will be helped in this step - it shows that you have successfully paid off all your existing student loans, which reduces the number of loans you owe, and shows you successfully paid off a series of debts, both of which increase your credit score. You’ll get your loan docs and payment information to begin making your new, consolidated loan payment.Â
So what are you waiting for??

Yes, a very good mail day indeed here. I got an unexpected $100+ refund check from my old doctor, along with a note that I had paid for some things that insurance later coughed up the money for. And I got $100 from MySurvey - I do surveys, they give me points, the points = cash. And I can’t forget my little $5 check from PineCone Research. This deposit will cover the balance of our room at Animal Kingdom Lodge this weekend!

Nascar is huge in our area. HUGE! Almost as huge as football. My favorite Nascar driver is Jeff Gordon - he’s sorta the bad boy of Nascar…as bad as he can be in his rainbow car, I guess. You can watch Nascar on SpeedTV which is a cable channel featuring cars, racing, motorcycles, racing…oh, and some more racing. They probably have some shots of girls in bikinis thrown in there for good measure. It’s a real he-man channel, and the place to get NASCAR news, commentary and video.

The first time I saw this story online, I thought it was satire. “No way”, I said to myself, “No way is Tom Cruise THAT insane.” Yes way. Since seeing the story online, it’s now been posted on EOnline, so I guess it’s true. (It’s a sad day when being on EOnline = truth in journalism!)
A bronze sculpture entitled Suri’s Bronzed Baby Poop’s Bronzed Baby Poop, inspired by the TomKitten spawn’s first solid meal and the fecal matter that presumably followed, will go on display Wednesday. David Kesting, director of Capla Kesting Fine Art, located in Brooklyn’s Williamsburg gallery district, said “A bronzed cast of baby’s first poop can be a meaningful memento for the family.” The shiny sculpture will be at the gallery at least through September (unless people riot beforehand) and will be up for auction on eBay, with proceeds going to the March of Dimes. Limited edition plaster replicas will also be for sale.
That’s just WRONG. Note to TomKat: shoes? Ok to bronze. Poop? Not ok. I am so happy I wrote the man off months ago, after he insulted Brooke Shields and depression medication. Maybe he’d be better off if he took his meds?

How do you people the right company when you want to refinance your home? You can go with the bank when you do your day to day banking…but maybe they don’t offer the most competitive rates. One thing I like about http://www.expfunds.com is that they don’t keep your credit a secret. I once had a loan officer tell me she wasn’t allowed to tell me my credit score. Why not? It’s *my* score! EXPFunds not only tells you your score, they REVIEW your credit report with you! They offer debt consolidation loans, home equity lines of credit up to $500,000, home mortage refinance up to $3,000,000, and much more.

One evening this week I went to a friends house for a jewelry party (Premier Designs)…of course to support her and help her get free stuff :-) I’m not one for jewelry - seriously. I wear my rings and wedding set and not much else. I’m a husbands dream, right? I did find a necklace and an anklet to get that I saw in person tonight, and wanted to come home and google the name of the items for a picture to show everyone here. Wouldn’t you know it - the picture that came up was from Ebay and I could have bought the necklace there for 1/4 of what I paid for it tonight. Same story for the anklet. Good to know I can get it on Ebay if I want anything else, I guess! Here’s what I got:
