We had a busy weekend, again. My friend Sindy was in town with her family. Thursday after they arrived we all went to Jack Willies for dinner. We had a crowd of 13 (more kids than adults!) for dinner but the kids got over their initial shyness and got along famously, as did the moms and dads.

On Friday I played hooky from work and we all went out boating and ended up at Caladesi Island. Once again, I’m amazed by how beautiful this area is. The end of the island we beached at was pratically deserted and we had a fantastic time. I’m lucky to have all of this so close to me, and even luckier to have friends with a boat. HA! Friday evening we had a cookout at my house, and on Saturday I took Sindy to the new house. Phew!

Saturday night we went to dinner and out to bowl with the local gang. The bowling alley was pretty skanky, but the price was right. We didn’t get home til almost midnight though, and poor Jim had to get up at 2:30am to be to work by 4am. He told me today he’s getting too old for that nonsense! I slept in til 10-ish…and we missed church. Whoops!! To be fair, I was UP at 8am and prepared to go. But when I tried to wake up Catherine, who is usually my early bird, she said “I’m tired” and rolled over to go back to sleep. So it was her fault we missed church

It’s nice having the house to myself today!
