We had a meeting with our NEW construction super last night. Our old one is being sent to another neighborhood the builder is doing. Fine with me, cause this lady seems to have her shit together. (I liked everything about her, except the pink hardhat she made me wear.)
She pointed out 2 framing errors we never noticed that she is having fixed. She said now that the stucco is done, they’ll let it cure for 2 or 3 days and then will do the primer and color on the outside. Cabinets will go in next week or the week after. Once cabinets and counters go in, she’ll give us a closing date….but she thinks right now we’ll be closing at the end of May for sure.
I’ve got pictures right here. It’s so exciting to see progress there after all of those weeks of looking at framing!

I had the craziest dreams last night. First I hooked up with Dwayne Wayne from A Different World. He dumped Whitley for ME and our date was at an outdoor shopping mall. Then I was visiting with my cousins at a haunted house. And for some reason, wearing horrible white tights under my shorts. And then I was a nun who thwarted a kidnapping at the airport and found a child molester.
Real life wasn’t quite so interesting. The boy woke me up in the wee hours of the morning complaining his stomach hurt. He tried to go potty, tried to throw up - nothing was working, so he snuggled next to me and whimpered for 2 hours. Around 7am he got up, made it to the bedroom door, and barfed up the Pepto I had given him a few minutes before. When I drove the girls to school, he took along a barf bag. He’s on the couch now, watching Revenge of the Sith with his barf bowl.
I’m off to go shower - because I’ve got a *date* with TCCGMTS from 11am - 2pm. Same problem as before, but this time, my cable modem is dead too! I’ve been on dialup for 2 days…good times!

This Saturday is our 1st Official 3 Day Fundraiser. Please, oh PLEASE dear God…don’t let it be 95 degrees out. And please let people take pity on us and donate! I made nice little flyers to hand out, and a poster for our table, and my girls will be there in pink t-shirts begging their wee little hearts out.
I’m $1700 off my goal right now for fundraising, and all I keep hearing from my husband is how HE is ‘on the hook’ for it if I don’t get it elsewhere. Umm…feel free to hand out some flyers to your guy friends and tell them to donate! If they’ve got money for trips to Amsterdam and strippers, they can throw a C-note my way!

Our house has finally passed the framing inspection. On the 3rd try. Sheesh! All because of not having the approved plans on site. At last, we can finally start seeing some changes and progress. Insulation *should* happen this week, and then drywall can start!
Our cabinets have already been delivered and they’re stacked up in boxes in the garage. I went there last week with my mom and picked out paint colors for her house. She’s closing in 2 1/2 weeks!

I had this crazy dream last night about and Music Monday.
In my dream, I was blogging about how *I* wanted to do Music Monday too, and I was making a bulleted list of reasons why I wasn’t prepared…like, my FTP is closed, I don’t have a cute logo for it, I don’t have a song picked out…
So basically, my dream was exactly like real life…HA!
