So there I am, backing out of my spot to go pick up the kids at school. I had debated on even GOING to the post office since I was running short on time, but decided – what the heck? Funny how decisions come back to haunt you later…

Where was I? Oh yes, backing up…and driving Jim’s new car. I stopped in the middle of the parking lot, as someone was backing up to the left of me, and not looking. They moved on, and I looked to the right so I could shift into 1st gear and head to the exit.

In slow motion, this HUGE Buick comes closer & closer to my passenger side. I beep my horn…and the Buick keeps coming. CRUNCH! Right into the brand new car. I pulled back into a parking spot and got out, FURIOUS and freaking out. I screamed at the driver, “You STUPID BITCH!! How do you hit a NON MOVING VEHICLE that has BEEPED to make you aware of their presences?”

Things went downhill from there and I had an anxiety attack in the post office parking lot. Freaking out about my new car, freaking out about my kids and not showing up on time – thank GOD my nephew pulled into the parking lot right then and noticed me. He stayed with me and calmed me down. I called the highway patrol and was told to simply exchange info – only to discover that the other driver had left the scene! She did come back, claiming she went to call her husband. Newsflash…you do NOT leave the scene dumbass! She told me I should learn to talk like a “lady” and I fired back, “I may not talk right, but at least I can drive a fucking CAR!”

A deputy came out and filed a report. I’ve called in the claim. And my neck is already killing me. Would you believe there was NO damage to her car? None! And she’s 83! EIGHTY THREE! She could barely see over the damn steering wheel.

I am just disgusted.
