It’s a tradition in our family that when you turn 10, you get flowers. I guess technically it’s not a real tradition, since til last month, I was the only one who ever had this done….LOL! I decided to do it for Catherine though, and so did my mom.

We were on our way out to the movies on her birthday when the delivery van pulled up, with flowers from Mormor:

And cake! It wouldn’t be a birthday without cake!

Tonight is her *friend* birthday slumber party. Our guest list keeps getting smaller and smaller each year, by my choice! The first year, we invited 5 girls and it was chaos. Last year we had 3 girls I think…and one was just a pain in the ass. This year – 2 girls. Ha! We’re having pizza here (the girls are due to arrive at 5), and the man is off so we’re ALL going to the ice skating rink and then coming back here for cake and movies. Wish me luck!
