Hi,
Colleen here. I know I’m not a big fan of the outdoors and all the lovely products you manufacture, but could you PLEASE stop the rain long enough to let things dry up around here? Really, everyday? A wee bit of overkill, don’t you think?
Seriously. Cut this shit out.
Love, me

I’m anxiously waiting for Leslie to get here. She’s on her way to the Keys and I’m on the way, so we get to put her up for 2 nights - not to mention her boys. Whoohoo!!

Are tasteless.
Low fat, low cholesterol, low taste. Yet here I sit - not throwing out the rest of the bag, but eating the whole thing. Why do I do that?

Jim called me this morning to give me my usual wake up call. He had to be to the store at 4am.
He told me when he got there, he had to call the police. There was a naked guy in the parking lot trying to break into cars!
Wonder what kind of tool he had on him?

I just went outside to check on our tomato and bell pepper plants and we have our first fruit on each! Only the size of a quarter, but I’m very excited. I am actually growing something edible. And it’s growing - not dying! (So far.)

The man took the kids out of town on Tuesday morning. They’ll be back Monday. This is the longest I’ve been away from the family since….well, forever. I don’t know what to do with myself! I read all my books from the library and planned to go back for more, but the man took my truck on his trip, and my keys. On my keyring, is my library card. More accurately, HIS card, since I never got my own account. So no new books for me. I have no money to go shopping, and nothing to do around the house to keep me busy.
Argh! I always said I would LOVE to have free time like this, but you know what? It is very boring.

My husband took my truck to New Jersey this week, so that he and my mom could rent a trailer and bring back some of my grandfather’s things. The night before we left, I noticed his tire looked like it was going soft, so I had my mom leave her minivan at my house so I could use it.
I met my sister for lunch today and left the deli with a huge iced tea. Rounded a curve in my usual lead foot fashion…and there goes the iced tea…flying out of the crappy minivan cupholder and all over the floor.
Do you think my mom will be suspicious when I return her van to her in better shape than she left it in?

Jim and I are teasing each other that we’ve been given a ghost.
A few months ago, Jim’s friend Jamie, who he’s known since high school, lost his dad. Jamie had no use for most of his dad’s stuff, so he asked us if we wanted his TV. Sure we said…and put it in our living room, moving the smaller TV to our bedroom, and moving the bedroom TV to the garage.
Anyway…the TV we got has a ghost, and when Jamie came down to hang out with us this weekend at the beach, we let him know about it. We call the ghost Joe, after Jamie’s dad. The TV randomly turns on, and randomly changes channels. It just did it again last night, and I peeked my head into the garage and asked Jim, “Did you turn on the TV, or was it Joe?”
I don’t mind the “ghost” of Joe, but I’ll be happy when I get my new TV this month and can give this one to someone else! LOL

We’re back from our long beach weekend. It’s funny how exhausted you get doing nothing
It was suchy a nice weekend, just lounging by the gulf or the pool and enjoying the sun and the wonderful weather.
Back to reality and work tomorrow, and my washer decided to die the night before we left, so at some point I’ve got to go to my moms to do laundry. Oh, and did I mention the boy got some funky outer ear infection and we had to get 3 meds today, for a total of around $100? Sheesh!

I bought Jim a new shirt at Target for Father’s Day, since they were on sale, and he specifically said he wanted a Hawaiian shirt. I picked out a nice green one….so dumbass goes to Target yesterday, telling me he’s gonna buy new swim trunks. He comes home with those, AND a new shirt he picked out for himself. The EXACT same one I got him! I showed him this morning and told him since the kids already know I bought it for him, he needs to return his!
Doesn’t he know you’re not supposed to buy yourself anything before a gift giving holiday?
