1 1/2 hours to go 30 miles to work this morning. In my husbands car. With the broken radio. A little rain and everyone forgets how to drive!
I had to end up getting off the expressway and taking side streets and it still sucked major ass. Thank god my boss just laughed. He isn’t even here today! He decided from now on, if it’s raining, he’s staying home. I told him I think that’s a great policy and I’m going to start following it immediately!!!

I’m a bit lacking in the Northeast & Northwest! I think I could knock those 2 areas out with one good long car trip….LOL

I just found out that another one of my recent Tampa Bay Dot Moms entries was put into the print version of the TBT paper. Gotta stop at the newspaper box and snag a few on my way home from work today!

This week my company moved to a new office, hereafter referred to as BOB. (Big Office Building.) BOB is very ritzy, with it’s 10 stories, parking garage, marble bathrooms and cafeteria.
Funny story…I lost my car in the parking garage on my 2nd day here. I thought I had parked it on level 2 or 3, but apparently I was confused after I came back from lunch. (And I can NEVER leave for lunch again so I don’t lose the car again!). I walked around on 2 looking for the car. I walked around 3 looking for the car. Keep in mind it’s fricking FREEZING and I’m carrying my purse and a briefcase with my laptop. I went down to 1 and told the security guard what happened. After he stopped guffawing, he got a golf cart and drove me around to find my car, which was on level 5.
I’m freaking Magellen.

Pics of new furniture! Sorry they’re so dark. It’s kind of a gloomy day here. Let us first say goodbye to the old sectional and glider rocker. May they rest in peace!

And I learned this morning my living room has an echo without furniture:

It’s here, it’s here!

And with the area rug and coffee table. I’m not sure about placement of that yet….the loveseat and sofa both have recliners in them so I’ll have to see where we end up sitting the most I guess. So I put it both ways for the picture

When I came back from lunch there was a coworker standing in front of the building. Another coworker walks up and starts chatting to her, and the first lady says “I just needed to come downstairs and get some FRESH AIR!”
Then she took a big long drag on her cigarette.

We’re going to order our new living room furniture tonight! Currently our living room set consists of a glider rocker that my mom gave me when I was pregnant, oh…10 years ago. It’s alright, it’s just not very comfy. The ottoman part has gotten stained over time and I can’t get it clean, so I keep it covered with a little mini table cloth.
Our sectional is second hand, from a friends mom. It’s not done well with kids and pets. I am happy to report that my new sofa, loveseat, and recliner will be LEATHER and therefore washable and wipeable. Stains & smells be gone!
I have never ever had new living room furniture, so this is very exciting. Or a sign that I’m getting older, when I can get excited over furniture.
