I’m happy to report that Jim removed all the vinyl flooring from our kitchen yesterday, giving us one less obstacle to putting in the laminate wood flooring we’ve picked out. We’ve scheduled the big project for the first weekend in November and luckily the kitchen was easier than we both thought it would be. There’s only vinyl at the front door and the rest is carpet.

I can not WAIT to remove this carpeting!!

That’s what she said when I answered the phone, “Ma’am, I just need to get your input for a quick 10 second survey. Do you have city or well water?”

For once in my life, I was quick on my feet, and said, “Nunya.”

“Nunya?” she repeated….”Nunya”, I replied again.

“What does nunya mean?” she asked. “Nunya Bidness!”

Oh. My. God.

So one of my girls comes to me tonight and says “There’s something in Gracie’s ballet basket.” Something…as in…what? “Something alive”.

Uhh…ok.

So I spy…a snake, IN MY HOUSE!

I took the kids and their cousin to see the new Shark Tale movie this afternoon. It was ok, I didn’t really laugh out loud much, but it was cute enough. We saw a preview for The Incredibles and THAT looks freaking hilarious. We also saw a preview for a movie about animals busting out of the zoo that looked funny, and Polar Express. Lots of animated kiddie movies coming out for the holidays!

After the movie I dragged everyone into Linens N Things - my 20% off coupon was expiring today. I got a new shower curtain liner. The one Jim bought a year ago when we moved in had ripped and had water stains all over it. It was clear too, which I think shows more than the white ones. So I got a new one that is supposed to not mildew….we’ll see!! We had one that was a hotel brand style in our last house and it never mildewed. I should have taken it when we left.

Anyway….LNT had a good clearance going on with some of their summer items. I snagged a Nickeloden slip and slide for $3.74 and one of those town map with roads type rugs for the boy’s room. Only $10! Oh, and a black sweater for Lola with leopard faux fur collar. She’s so styin’.

Then we stopped by our friends and had burgers and dogs for dinner. Yay, I didn’t have to cook!

Now I’ve got to read email and pack my crap from my Ebay sales - my least favorite part of selling.

My husband is just full of good ideas :-)

Last night we went to the car dealership driving this a 2003 Toyota Sienna minivan.  And we left driving a 2004 Mercury Mountaineer SUV!
