The carpet was installed today in the girls room - it’s finally *done* enough that they can sleep in their, so tonight they’re spending their first night in their brand new bedroom. I thought it looked good before, but with the carpet it just looks awesome! We need to trim down the closet doors a bit as they were installed before the carpet so now there isn’t enough clearance, but that’s minor. I feel like we’re finally moved in and I can get Matthew’s room organized now that we don’t have wall to wall kids in there.

Jim got another dresser for Catherine - it’s a solid wood and I think I’m going to try and strip it and restain it. Pictures of it all to come this weekend!

I just finished watching Rosemary’s Baby tonight. I started watching it earlier in the week, but the DVD was damaged, so I had to send it back to Netflix and wait for the replacement.

Anyway….

Am I the only one who thought she was going to kill the baby at the end? I was waiting for her to go crazy and take the baby out, but she didn’t. I liked the movie but was seriously disappointed in the ending. I like things to be summed up in a nice little package - plots all wrapped up, no loose ends.

Luanne!

She ’s an awesome Florida girlie I’ve been lucky enough to meet, and she is smart, funny, cute, and has a great smile. She’s a hot momma! Now that I’ve given you plenty of reasons to check her out, go already! I’ll wait right here.

I’m getting another dog. When my husband and I had our first baby, I already had a “baby”. Her name was Penny and she was a black and tan mini dachshund. She was the sweetest little thing! I had rescued her from an abusive environment - poor little girl had lost most of her teeth and had a rib that was broken (I don’t even want to know how that happened!) and never healed right. She was afraid of men but she loooooooved on me all the time. I could go on and on about her for hours, but I’ll spare you all the details. Suffice to say, when I had to give her up, I was heartbroken. But with a newborn in the house, I just couldn’t devote enough time to my fur baby anymore.

We already have a dog, but ever since I had Penny I’ve wanted another doxie. Jim finally agreed. (He’s getting a trip to Vegas, I’m getting the dog!). We were going to wait til next month or maybe March to get a doxie puppy, but I just found one at a rescue site and emailed the current owners…so we’ll see!

I took the kids to a birthday party today for a classmate of my oldest. Each year, the parties thrown by this mom get more over the top and I was wondering how she was going to outdo herself. The family is from Jamaica, and we looooove going to their parties. She has the parties at a lakeside park in their development and she did outdo herself! She raised the bar even higher for next year. In addition to the coolers of water and juiceboxes for the kids, the huge tubs of ice overflowing with bottles of Red Stripe, Moosehead, Killians and wine, the cotton candy machine, 4 cakes, beef patties brought by her family from Jamaica, jerk chicken wings, a ton of food catered from Chik Fil A, the moonwalk, the face painter, the magic show….she had a flippin’ rock climbing wall!! I was too hung over from last night or I would have tried to climb it myself, it looked like so much fun. My daughter tried it 4 or 5 times at least and had a blast.

Thank god my kids know to never expect this level or party from me. A couple of pizzas, games, the pool…we’re good to go. White trash that we are!

If anyone is in the market for some girl scout cookies, I have not one, but TWO little brownies pushing the sugar this year! Orders are due in the next couple of days….so I’ve got to start hawking cookies for the girls. To their credit, they did make several phone calls tonight to aunts and uncles and asked them to buy cookies, using all their manners. One aunt has offered to take in the order firm to work….whoohoo!
