Reading Robyn’s entries about her anniversary have me feeling sentimental. (I only play a cold heart bitch on TV - I’m really a big ball of sap who cries during diaper commercials.)
I suppose I feel somewhat sappy because my husband and I have also been married for 7 years now - doing the deed just 2 months before Robyn and Todd. Our song was, and is, True Companion by Marc Cohn. Jim picked it out - I couldn’t decide and was sort of stuck on In Your Eyes by Peter Gabriel, which was also my sisters unofficial song…so I didn’t really want to use it. He had the Marc Cohn CD and played it for me. And like Jen, it was as if time stood still. This was it - this was our song, I was marrying this man, and this was our life. We’d be together forever. When we’re old and grey, we’ll still be together. Leaning on one another and remembering all the places we’ve been and the things we’ve done. I can’t listen to this song without tearing up! We’re going to see Finding Nemo this afternoon with friends - I can’t wait! I do love the Disney crap. Plus I’m holding it over the childrens little heads - if you don’t clean your room/eat your veggies/use manners you can’t go see the movie….muwhahaha. Bad mommy. I’ve got to remember to use my powers for good and not evil!
Speaking of the children - even with school out they’re getting up way to early. I’ve been letting them stay up late to watch movies, and they STILL get up at the butt ass crack of dawn. I think a few people (me I hope!) are going to take a nap today before the movie.

GAG!! I am soooo glad my kids are getting too old for these damn things. I hate them! I hate the screaming children running amuck with parents no where in site, I hate the nasty ball pit, I hate the pushy kids who trample on the little ones. And now I hate the feces.
